Welcome to the September edition of InsideEdge… and Spring! 

Just as Spring is the time for new beginnings, I will continue to introduce you to the new areas of our business in light of the most recent organisational restructure completed in July. A quick reminder around WHY we did this, these changes have been made with a deliberate focus on you, our clients, and our service to you, along with a focus on our People with the creation of additional career progression opportunities. Last month you met the four members of our Executive Team, this month I would like to introduce you to our new General Manager of our Academic brand, Business Travel by STAKylie Duncan.

Kylie comes to us with over 20 years’ experience within Sales and Marketing across a range of hospitality groups. Kylie looks forward to meeting our academic customers in the near future.

Onto something that is not new anymore… NDC. We have been providing updates on how to best prepare for this industry change throughout 2019. At TravelEdge, we continue to lead the change, and not wait to be led by it which is why our CIO, Deanne Waldron, headed across to Farelogix HQ in Miami. Farelogix are one of the technology partners working with airlines to modernize airline commerce. You can read more here.

Our commitment to you is simple, help you do your business better… but we can’t do this without your feedback. Effective risk management is paramount to businesses nowadays. It is critical for businesses to stay in touch with travellers throughout their journey and ensure they are safe; anytime, anywhere. As we hear about more frequent data breaches occurring around the world, rest assured, we are doing more than ever before to protect your company and traveller’s personal information. In the last 3 months we have upgraded our User Security System, email filtering and completed our annual security audits on all third party software suppliers. Education is also key to ensuring all staff are aware of new and potential security threats, all staff during August have completed an annual security awareness refresher training course.

TravelEdge systems are fully secure and PCI DSS Compliant. We recognise that privacy and confidentiality of client information is of utmost importance to the proper servicing and fulfilment of your travel program. Accordingly, we have instituted numerous measures and processes to assure consistent compliance with these requirement including having an external Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) review our PCI DSS compliance and overall security measures in place.
