Each year, TravelEdge commits $9,000 and 90 work days towards projects through our employee-led initiative, TravelEdge Community. We make a valuable difference, either through a financial donation or simply rolling up our sleeves to get a job done. Key projects include:
- Participating in a range of activities from swim programs to construction at Wairoa, a special needs school and our ongoing major project
- Raising money to support a colleague in need through the "Biddy Olympics"
- Ongoing sponsorship of four World Vision children
- Participation in the Oxfam 100km walk, raising over $15,000
- Painting the wards at Westmead Children's Hospital
- Providing dinners for families at Ronald McDonald House
- Fundraising for a number of children's charities including the Starlight Foundation and Canteen
In recognition of our work, we were a finalist in the 2008 Telstra Business Awards - Social Responsibility category.
