

Simple Changes, Significant Savings
Background: Our client - a large multinational with a diverse culture caused by strong acquisitional growth was struggling to consolidate spend. Cost saving targets were not being achieved, supplier deals didn't recognise their total spend and there was no company-wide buy-in to cost reduction.
Action: Cost saving targets were set, measured and reviewed by Business Unit, spend was consolidated from over 25 offices across Australia, all supplier deals were renegotiated, and airline deals were restructured to leverage their consolidated spend.
Results: 20% cost saving target was achieved; stronger relationships were established with preferred suppliers; and a 'total company approach' to travel was adopted.
