In Virgin Australia’s latest attempt to sway business travellers, the airline will offer business class services on all domestic flights from 18 January 2012.
Selected Virgin Australia fleet will lose premium economy to make way for business class seating.
The 737 aircraft will offer two rows of business class seating, in a 2-2 configuration, with a standard domestic business 38 inch seat pitch.
The A380 will see a more spacious seating arrangement, with a 2-3-2 layout and 62 inch seat pitch.
Virgin Australia’s CEO John Borghetti has confirmed that the new business class product is a key part of the airlines strategy to reposition itself as the airline of choice for domestic business travel.
Introductory fares will start at $359 for the Brisbane-Newcastle route, the cheapest on the network.
