Over the past few months, a number of professional photographers have been scouring the country searching to capture iconic visions of Australia for a book sponsored by Lumix entitled “Focus on Australia”.

While the professionals were off to work, Lumix amateurs were invited to submit their own vision of Australia shot in the hope of being published alongside the professionals.

From a total of 7,000 entries a pool of 100 winners was chosen, including our very own Alex Badarau from Granted Worldwide, TravelEdge’s Promotional Prizing and Incentives arm.

Photography has always been a passion for Alex and as a Lumix user she saw the opportunity to enter one of her spectacular photos of Sydney’s Luna Park at sunset (pictured). Alex is thrilled to have been chosen in the top 100 photos and is looking forward to the release of the book.

If you are interested in purchasing the book, it will be available in book stores as well as selected camera outlets as of November 1, 2010. Proceeds from the sale will go towards the “Walk a While” indigenous arts educational program, providing indigenous youths access to training and technology for their photography or film and music interests.
