

Virgin Australia will commence daily Airbus A330 services out of Melbourne, with tickets now on sale for flights to Perth and Sydney.
From May 14, the airline's ‘Coast to Coast’ services will include twice daily flights between Melbourne and Perth. From May 15, a daily morning service will operate between Melbourne and Sydney.
The extra services aim to meet increased demand for Melbourne, Australia’s second largest port, as it grows as a popular business, events and tourism destination.
The A330 wide-body fleet will offer extra capacity in and out of Melbourne in peak travel periods, as well as Virgin Australia’s new Business and Economy Class product, featuring luxury leather seating, a generous seat recline and a range of gourmet food offerings.
Fares will start from $99* one way from Melbourne to Sydney, and from $195* one way from Melbourne to Perth.
Daily Airbus A330 services to Perth will depart at 1pm and 5.30pm local Melbourne time, arriving in Perth at 3.15pm and 7.45pm respectively local Perth time. Return flights from Perth depart at 8.30am and 5.30pm local Perth time, arriving in Melbourne at 1.45pm and 10.45pm respectively local Melbourne time.
The daily Airbus A330 service between Melbourne and Sydney will depart at 7.15am local Melbourne time, arriving in Sydney at 8.40am. The return service will depart Sydney at 10am local Sydney time, arriving in Melbourne at 11.35am.
