Wow! What an end to the Financial Year!
With so much on, sometimes it feels like you are constantly racing from one thing to the next. I know I do this, which is why I try to take the time to ‘fold-back’ and reflect on what I’m doing and why.
I was given the most wonderful opportunity to stop and reflect during my recent volunteering stint at LA Mission. This humbling yet uplifting experience was in conjunction with my annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout event. Over the past two years I have joined CEO’s from all over Sydney to brave the cold and sleep ‘rough’ to raise funds and awareness for this wonderful cause.
This year I decided to spread my wings and join the LA Mission to prepare and serve meals to those in need and to get an understanding of the truly amazing work these wonderful humans do. You can read more about my experience here
However, I wasn’t going to leave an empty sleeping bag at the Vinnies Sleepout! Our TravelEdge CFO, Gordon Timm, was more than happy to live the TravelEdge Values and joined this wonderful cause. You can read more about it here
I am so appreciative to everyone who made both volunteering experiences possible. I would highly recommend anyone volunteer at either of these wonderful organisations to be truly humbled and reflect on just how lucky we are.
